The Visit: Film Review

To kick off the start of October my mom and I decided to go to the local movie theater and see the only horror movie they had playing, The Visit . I wasn't too sure about it judging by the previews, but I had multiple Facebook friends raving about the movie so I thought it was worth the seven dollar ticket.  Of course when we got there we were the only ones in the theater, so again we didn't have very high hopes, but to my surprise the movie was actually worth it, and dare I say, quite scary.   The movie was filmed to look like the main character, Becca, a fifteen year old girl, filmed it for a documentary she was making, so the movie might give you a bit of a headache at times, just like in The Blair Witch Project.   Anyway Becca's mom, Loretta, had a falling out with her parents and hadn't seen or spoken to them in over fifteen years.  Becca and her little brother Tyler, thirteen, had never met their grandparents before.   But apparently the...

Nail Decals: Breaking Bad Review

The other week I bought these nail decals off ShopJeen  for ten dollars and I was so excited to use them!  Here's how they came out. The directions were super clear, basically paint your nails, cut out the pictures, place them in water, and then place them on your nail, and pat dry.  Once dry use a clear coat of nail polish to make them stay. If these were as easy to use as the directions they would have come out a lot better.  These took me quite a long time to do.  The little pictures are basically temporary tattoos and they rip extremely easy and stick together, along to everything else.  They're hard to center because they move around a lot.  You have to be extremely carefully and patient while working with these things.   They look super awesome, but they don't last.  Hours later, when I thought they were dry, which they were, I washed my hands in hot water and they started breaking and melting off my nails.  Needless to ...

"That Awkward Moment", a Reverse Spin on "Sex and the City"

Last weekend my boyfriend took me to Zac Efron in his latest film, 'That Awkward Moment'. I had seen the commercials and all the TV interviews, but I still wasn't exactly sure what to expect.  This film was supposed to be about what guys do when girls aren't around and what guys really talk about, but where's the story line in that?   Ultimately it was about three guys in about their late twenties living in New York City with great jobs and going out frequently to pick up girls.  Sound a bit familiar?  In my opinion it reminded me a lot of 'Sex and the City' just with men instead of women. I thought it was a pretty interesting take, even though a lot of stuff was unrealistic, like the size of their apartments in New York City, but still I enjoyed it.  This movie was humorous, and yes, a bit awkward to watch at times.  But there is a story line for each character that you don't see in any of the commercials, and even though you can predict the en...

Nail Caviar

So since I've got a lot of questions about my nails I decided to make a post about what I used and how I did them. To start off, I used a kit.  It was called Nail Rocks and it was just randomly in the nail polish section at Walgreens . It was real easy to use, the directions were super simple.  All you do is paint two coats of nail polish that comes in the kit, and right after your second coat, dip your nail in the tube of beads or "nail rocks".  Then you lightly press on your nails and you're done.   They look great.  Except when you go to bed and wake up, then your nails look awful.  So I redid them in the morning and by the end of the day, my nails looked awful again.  Not as bad from when I woke up, but still not good. I suggest only using these on special occasions, where you don't expect your nails to look good for a long periods of time. Ratings: Difficulty : 1/10 (10 being very difficult, 1 being easy.) Cost : 6/10 (1 be...
